India is Ageing

The number of Indians over the age of 60 has hit an all-time high, accounting for 8.6 per cent of the country’s 121-crore population, according to latest official figures. A report released by the Ministry of Statistics in 2016 said that the number of citizens over the age of 60 jumped 35.5 per cent — from 7.6 crores in 2001 to 10.3 crores in 2011.

With the improved life expectancy rate in our country, it’s estimated that as many as 8 million people are currently above the age of 80 years.

So We need lots of old age villages

To face the ageing problem, we need to build echo friendly old age villages with every requirement for elderly people to accommodate thousands of elderly. Also, Psycho-emotional concerns (viz. isolation, mental stress, difficulty in keeping themselves occupied) is one of the major issues for elderly people. So to overcome this issue, we need lots of in campus activities to keep elderly members engaged, which will help breaking the monotonous life of the elderly people.

Basic need

Daily Care

This is reseidential facilities for elderly people and care-giver’s family. It will have multiple age friendly facilities and will self-sufficient in terms of energy and food. Where possible, Active residents will teach local communities, train vocational skills, raise livestock, look after fish ponds, vegetable plots, greenhouses and paddy fields.

Medical Care

Ageing is a natural process, which presents a unique challenge for all sections of the society. An ageing population tends to have a higher prevalence of chronic diseases, physical disabilities, mental illnesses and other co-morbidities.So we have integrated our services with healthcare. The residents will have in-campus healthcare facilities like Nursing services, Preventive health center, Primary Health Center, Emergency Health Center and Remote Healthcare services.

Loneliness

We want to provide every services required for elderly people by addressing Psycho-emotional concerns (viz. isolation, mental stress, difficulty in keeping themselves occupied), which is one of the major issues for elderly people. So to overcome this issue, we have lots of in campus activities to keep elderly memeber engaged, which will help breaking the monotonus life of the elderly people.

Ideas for Engagements

Spiritual Center

Spiritual centers will be developed for discussion on Spiritual and Vedic cultures. To build centers dedicated to promote rich Vedic tradition, culture and knowledge gained over thousands of years and recorded in many forms.

Fitness Center

We have a deep-rooted belief that yoga can bring balance to your mental, physical and spiritual well-being. Our goal is to offer year round yoga classes in a variety of styles and combined with other form of fitness best practices. We strive to be a place where the yoga community can grow.

Recreation Center

The residents will participate in community meetings, celebrate festivals and will also involve in recreational activities with local community. We will arrange lots of in campus activities to keep elderly memeber engaged, which will help breaking the monotonus life of the elderly people.

Knowledge Center

Most of the Older people are fully active after retirement. And in Knoledge and Experiences, they are at the peak of their life! Their knowledge will be shared through various seminars / workshops to transfer knowledge to the next generation.

Education Center

Residents can develop Syllabus, Study Material for the purpose of establishing gurukul education system in Village and local communities. We will also run Gurukul schools, coaching centers, music schools, dance schools, drawing schools, vocational schools etc in local communities
